About Stephen

As the Member of Parliament for Morphett, I am constantly reminded that the most important role of any elected leader is to be close to the community they represent.

Citizens are crying out for intelligent politicians who can connect with the community, and articulate their views and concerns clearly. The only way to truly form that connection is to live in the community.

I live in Glenelg South with my wife, Tammy, and our four children. My family lead an active outdoor lifestyle, utilising many facilities that thousands of other people in the local community use. This is at the heart of why I chose to serve my community, firstly in local government, starting in 2010 as a Councillor, and in 2014 as Mayor of Holdfast Bay. Now I have the opportunity to represent my community as their representative in State Parliament.

More about Stephen

I am a double degree graduate of the University of Adelaide, holding a Bachelor of Science (Physics) and a Bachelor of Electrical & Electronic Engineering with 1st Class Honours. This allowed me to start, and own, a company that specialises in sporting membership software and web hosting. I understand the challenges facing small business owners in South Australia, and I will advocate on their behalf in State Parliament.

I was also fortunate enough to play for the Norwood Football Club in the SANFL, and the Collingwood Football Club in the AFL. I understand how important leading an active lifestyle is, and the benefit sporting clubs bring to our local community.

I am excited to now have the opportunity to represent my community as the Member of Parliament for Morphett – covering Park Holme, Morphettville, Camden Park, Glengowrie, Novar Gardens, Glenelg East, Glenelg North, Glenelg and Glenelg South.
